Decameron

Il M°Griglio will conduct another production of Decameron, premiered in Philadelphia, USA, in november 2010.

Based upon seven novellas from Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron, the opera comes from the cohoperation between the International Opera Theater and the American Composer Forum Philadelphia Chapter. The cast will also see the appearance of the two winners of the Lyric Competition held by Città di Saluzzo in 2010, soprano Yasko Fujii and tenor Son Jae Yeon.

Performances will take place in Città della Pieve on August 5-6-7 and in Saluzzo on August 10, 2011. The cast will feature soprano Yasko Fujii, tenor Son Jae Yeon, mezzo-soprano Kathryn Krasovec, baritones Alexander Kudriashov and Graziano De Pace. Director, Karen Saillant.
